Frequently Asked Questions
Will I reveal personal secrets whilst in Hypnosis?
No. You are always in control and need not say anything you do not wish to say.
Will I lose consciousness whilst in hypnosis?
No. You are fully aware all the time.
Could I be hypnotised to do anything against my will?
No. Hypnosis is a consent state and you will only carry out those suggestions with which you agree.
Are there any dangers?
No. When the therapy (and Hypnosis) is undertaken by a properly trained and competent practitioner.
What is your success rate?
I can honestly say that the vast majority of my clients feel that their therapy has improved the quality of their lives and/or health.
How do I make an appointment and what happens then?
You can make an appointment to see me either by phone or email.
At the first appointment I explain how I work and give you an idea of how many sessions you might require. I rarely go beyond six sessions for most problems and then only when my client and I know that the therapy is working but there is still more to do.
I then leave you in peace and quiet to read some comments by the NHS Trust Register to which I belong and comments from some of the people who have completed therapy over the years. This allows you to get a feeling for the therapy and decide what you want to do. When I come back in, I answer any other questions you might have and you let me know what you wish to do. If you decide not to go ahead for any reason, the choice is yours, I do not have a problem with that and there is nothing to pay! If you go ahead which hopefully you do!! We go straight into the first session.
MY FEES - NO MY FEES ARE NOT A SECRET !!!( as with some others).
I charge £60 per one hour session and £30 per Half Hour Session. The Initial Payment is a non-refundable payment for two sessions of £100. It is a little cheaper because I do not charge for our initial chat. That is your total commitment. at the end of the second and subsequent sessions you let me know that you wish to continue and pay for that session in advance!
